On Monday and Tuesday, we had a massive rain in Mekelle City. As I was waiting for a taxi on Tuesday to go downtown, suddenly, it began to rain dogs and cats. In fact, not only did it rain, it hailed as well. Right away, I ran into a super market to escape the massive rain. The super market was packed with lots of people who were walking by happened to go there to avoid the rain.
It ran roughly for forty minutes straight then slowly it stopped. I looked outside to see how everything was like, and I had to say everything looked insane. All the roads were covered with a huge stream and people couldn’t walk in it. Cars and taxies could hardly drive on the road. People were saying jokingly, “This stream can definitely take a person”.
It was hard to find a taxi at the moment. But soon, I found a taxi that was heading downtown, and yet I was not certain if the taxi could make it downtown due to the powerful stream. Surprisingly, it made it downtown slowly and carefully.
